“Transpersonal psychotherapy is a therapy of wholeness - of healing the split between spirit and ego, between the conscious and the unconscious."
Brant Cortright
The Process
I begin by making an assessment based on a series of basic questions that I will email to you for completion before the first session. This will give me an idea of your presenting issues and what you hope to gain from therapy.
During the first session, I will go through the questions with you for clarity and to have a more detailed understanding of your life. It is also an opportunity for you to ask me any questions you may have, and to give you an idea of how I work. It also allows me to make sure that I am the right person to help you.
If we decide to work together, I will support you in working towards your aims for therapy and any other additional issues or concerns you may choose to bring.
Each session is an opportunity to share whatever you wish in a safe, confidential, non-judgemental, and compassionate space.
Duration
Individual therapy can be short-term or long-term. Some clients attend for a few months, whilst others stay for years.
Although you are free to terminate psychotherapy at any time, I ask for a period of two to four weeks notice, which we decide upon together. This is to ensure that there is time to work towards a healthy closure.
Length of Sessions
Each therapy session is for a duration of 50 minutes.
Time and Day
Sessions are weekly and will take place at the same time and day.
Cancellations
Should you need to cancel, 48 hours notice is required. I will endeavour to rearrange appointments for another day that week, if possible.
If you cancel a session with less than 48 hours notice or if you miss a session, payment will be due in full.
Payment
Payment is to be made in full for each session by bank transfer at least 24 hours before the start of therapy.
Fees
£85 per session
£45 per session for Trainee Psychotherapists/Students
